Packaging firm moves to name interim boss

Chesterfield packaging firm Robinson has moved quickly to name its new chief executive after revealing on Monday that it former CEO was leaving after 11 years.

Robinson has revealed that Martin McGee has been appointed interim chief executive officer with immediate effect and that Sara Halton will be joining the board on 1 January 2019 as an independent non-executive director.

McGee brings a wealth of consumer industrial knowledge having worked in Unilever, Avon and, most recently, McBride as chief operating officer. He has extensive knowledge and expertise in supply chain, manufacturing, customer focused innovation and implementing business process transformation in global (including Polish) companies.

Alan Raleigh, chairman, said: “I am delighted to welcome both Martin and Sara who bring considerable experience and expertise to the Robinson board.”
