Games Workshop in ‘great shape’ as it reveals profit predictions

Nottingham-based Games Workshop Group says it expects sales to be in the region £124m in the first six months of 2018/19 with an operating profit of around £41m – both in line with expectations.

A statement from the firm said: “These results show the Warhammer Hobby is in great shape in our core markets. We have built on the progress we made last year and the results are considerable given the backdrop of major projects; increasing factory capacity and ERP system implementation.”

The company has today declared a dividend of 30 pence per share, in line with the Company’s policy of distributing truly surplus cash.

Games Workshop will announce its half-yearly report for the six months to 2 December 2018 on 15 January 2019.
