On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Leicestershire chartered accountant Newby Castleman has appointed Scott Bradford in the role of manager.
He joins after spending eight years with Bates Weston in Derby.
Bradford said: “Moving to Newby Castleman was a very smooth transition and definitely the right choice – I feel very much at home here. My favourite aspect of my role is the freedom and responsibility given to me by David; he has already put a lot of trust in me to manage jobs and work independently, which is great. In terms of my goals, I’m looking forward to focusing on improving in my new role and working with the staff and many clients of the firm.”7
Leicestershire law firm Lawson-West has revealed that two of the team’s rising stars have successfully completed their training and become solicitors.
Sejal Patel has now officially qualified as a solicitor in the employment and HR services team, while Phoebe Tranter has qualified in wills and probate. Both joined the firm as paralegals in 2016.
Lawson-West director Victoria Jones said: “Both Sejal and Phoebe joined us as trainees and were identified as bright and keen individuals who have thrived ever since we gave them their training contracts.
“Phoebe helps clients and supports the team as a whole. She listens to our clients’ needs and is supportive and helpful at what can be one of the most difficult times of their lives after the loss of a loved one.”
Associate director Vaishali Thakerar said of Patel: “She has become a real asset to the department and I am looking forward to seeing her grow in her role as a solicitor.
“She has already become a key member of the team and her qualification shows Lawson-West’s continued dedication to growth and meeting our clients’ needs.”
