Issue ‘out of control’ of club is stalling Notts County sale

Alan Hardy

The sale of Notts County is being held up by an issue “out of the control” of the Club, according to owner Alan Hardy.

In a statement to supporters, Alan Hardy says he understand the frustration that fans are feeling over the stalled sale of the Magpies.

He said: “Due to increasing and understandable levels of frustration within the fanbase I would like to provide assurances that talks with prospective buyers are continuing in a constructive manner.

“An issue out of the club’s control is currently delaying matters but I am extremely confident it will be resolved so we can reach a positive outcome.

“Everyone involved is acutely aware that time is of the essence and we are working around the clock to get a deal done at the earliest opportunity.

“I’m sorry that I can’t reveal more but, as is normal practice, non-disclosure agreements have been signed, limiting what I can tell you at this stage.

“Thank you for your continued support and patience.”
