New industrial property scheme set for Derby

Developer CWC Group is set to build a new industrial property scheme in Derby.

Crown Park, which will be based off Uttoexeter Old Road in the city, will include six industrial/trade counter/warehouse units ranging in size from 2,500 sq ft to 7,696 sq ft.

Construction will start next month (July).

Hannah Bailey from CWC Group said: “I am really excited to get underway with the construction of Crown Park. This scheme focuses on offering high quality, sustainable units close to Derby city centre which has already attracted healthy interest from various local and national occupiers.”

Tim Richardson from agent FHP Property Consultants said: “CWC have an reputation in providing high quality business properties having developed successful schemes across the region including Ivanhoe Business Park in Ashby, Castlewood Business Park at Junction 28 and East Midlands Distribution Centre. Based locally, they are committed to providing good value and customer service and have an excellent track record.

This development fills a gap in the market where we know businesses and trade counter operators who want to be located on the wide side of the City, yet with excellent access to the inner ring road and trunk road connections including the A38 and A52.

“They will be in good company with Build Base, Electric Base and Plumb Base nearby and we have already attracted the first national trade counter operator to the scheme.”

The buildings are due to be completed by March 2020 and will be offered for sale or to let.
