Notts County staff not paid for June, say reports

Players and staff at crisis club Notts County haven’t received their wages for June, according to reports.

Both Nottinghamshire Live and BBC Nottingham say that the wage bill for the month, believed to be around £200,000, hasn’t landed in accounts this morning.

The news comes in the same week that players returned to training after striking a short-term deal to train at Nottingham Trent University’s facilities.

Owner Alan Hardy remains in talks with potential buyers for the club, which has been up for sale since January.

The Magpies are due back in the High Court to hear a winding up petition on July 10 over an unpaid tax bill after twice having twice had the case adjourned.
