Logistics firm expands HQ after land deal

A vehicle logistics firm is set to expand after buying 2.25 acres of land next to its headquarters.

Mobile Services has bought the space in Ellistown Coaliville in a deal brokered by CPP and Mather Jamie.

Mobile Services, a family-run business, has been established for over 30 years. The firm has a fleet of over 80 car transporters operating across the UK and provides logistic solutions to customers in the automotive sector.

The deal will allow Mobile Services to expand its head office and main operating centre in Ellistown, which serves as the HQ for the numerous operating centres that it runs throughout the UK.

Tony Badbury of Mobile Services said: “We were eager to expand our existing HQ in Coalville, rather than relocate, so we were delighted when we were able to purchase this land right next to us.

“The location works really well for us, being based in the Heart of the Midlands region, and we are looking forward to executing our expansion plans.”

Stuart Waite, partner at CPP, said: “We are delighted to have identified this opportunity for Mobile Services, and with the help of Mather Jamie we were able to complete an off market deal quickly, enabling Mobile Services to expand their operations at their existing HQ.”

Alex Reid, director at Mather Jamie, said: “Having become aware that CPP’s client was looking to purchase expansion land, preferably close to their existing HQ, I approached my client Harworth Estates – the landowner in this case – and together we agreed an off-market sale of this site to Mobile Services, to the benefit of both clients.”
