On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Nottingham Professional Services (NPS) Futures has appointed three new faces to its committee.

NPS Futures is a subcommittee of networking group, Nottingham Professional Services intended to nurture the next generation of talent.

Joining the NPS Futures committee is Leah Smith from recruitment consultant Blusource, Alex Thompson from accountants and business advisers, Smith Cooper and Claire Matthews from law firm, Freeths.

NPS Futures chair, Nicola Whiting said “This is an exciting time to be part of NPS Futures Committee. Over the past year, we have organised networking events that have proved very beneficial to the careers of younger professionals who are part of the business community here in Nottingham.”

 

Christian Ellis and Sarah Pearce

 

Building control surveyor Sarah Pearce and trainee building control surveyor Christian Ellis have joined Derbyshire Building Control Partnership (DBCP).

Based out of the company’s Derby office, the pair will be covering Derby and South Derbyshire working with builders, architects and property owners in the area.

DBCP managing director Neil Johnson said: “Innovations in building technology and a government pledge to build a million new homes by 2020 all add to the future demands for building control expertise. This is why, as a business, we have really focussed on recruitment in recent months to further add to the resources, skills and experience of the team. We offer a strong service throughout Derbyshire, one that is matched to the current construction boom regionally and nationally.”
