On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Chris Mason

Peer-to-peer lender Assetz Capital has appointed Chris Mason as regional relationship director in East Anglia and the East Midlands.

Mason has a wealth of experience across the banking sector, having worked in the industry for 37 years. He started his career at Barclays where he worked for 21 years. He has also worked as a property finance new business director at the Bank of Scotland, subsequently as a property finance broker and most recently as a corporate banker with Handelsbanken.

In his new position Mason will work with brokers and intermediaries to provide ambitious businesses and property developers with development finance, property investment finance, commercial mortgages and bridging loans.

Mason said: “I’m pleased to be joining Assetz at an exciting time for the company and I look forward to having the opportunity to work with businesses from across the area. I am particularly keen to have the chance to help property developers and investors to realise their growth potential.

“My new role will allow me to have much greater flexibility when considering funding requests in comparison to the more traditional lenders. At Assetz, I now have the opportunity to offer tailored funding packages to support the ambitions of our customers.”

Max Howard

Derbyshire hotel, restaurant and golf complex Morley Hayes has boosted its golf team with the appointment of Max Howard as golf manager.

Howard joins the Morley Hayes team from the Marriot Breadsall Priory Hotel & Country Club, where he spent more than six years working as a golf advisor and golf operations supervisor.

In his new role at Morley Hayes, he will head up the golf team and oversee the day-to-day operation of the golf department to ensure that golfers get the most out of their experience.

Howard said: “I’m incredibly pleased to be back at Morley Hayes after some time away. Morley Hayes has a great reputation in the golfing world and is one of the most popular golf complexes in the region.”
