New jobs created as £500,00 care centre opens

A community care service business is opening a new young adults’ care centre in Northampton, creating 12 new jobs, with a loan of £500,000 from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

Connect 2 Flexicare was set up in April 2016 to provide high quality care to children and adults living with a range of complex care and support needs.

The loan will fund the purchase and renovation of the centre. The team at Lloyds Bank even helped with the centre’s refurbishment with a day of decorating in August.

Located near Abington Park, this facility will offer high quality specialist care for young adults aged 18-25 years that are unable to stay at home without 24/7 support.

The centre is due to open next month and has seven en-suite bedrooms, an in-house sensory room, a sensory garden and a music room. The centre will also hold structured daily activities and has a newly installed lift to support those with decreased mobility.

Connect 2 Flexicare is headquartered in Aylesbury and currently works with patients across the South East and Greater London. The new Abington facility will expand the business’ reach to the East Midlands.
