A 17,000 sq ft office has been sold to a sportswear manufacturer in Sutton in Ashfield.

The building, which was last occupied by the Department for Work and Pensions was sold by Foxhall Business Centres in a deal brokered by heb and NG Chartered Surveyors.

“We are extremely pleased to have concluded this transaction,” said Robert Maxey at heb.

“This large building is in a prominent location on one of the main routes into the town centre.

“The occupiers are undertaking a full refurbishment programme which will greatly improve the local street scene”.

John Brame of buyers The Really Good Group said: “As we come to the end of phase one (of three) of our redevelopment of 70-78 High Pavement I am excited to start looking toward the completion of the project and opening our doors to the local community.

“The ground floor is and will be the home to our UK sportswear manufacturing business along with being a showroom for our products and brands that we hope will have a national audience with some of our products only being available in the one place outside of via online platforms. The showroom will also offer a coffee shop and some sports specific services such as sports massage therapies and bike fitting and bio-mechanics

“The first floor phase two will offer the local community a business hub alongside serviced spaces to suit all small to medium sized businesses, a café, communal areas and more.

“Across all of this we think we have a great offering to enable us to shout about Sutton and the East Midlands and over the coming months we will be announcing the opening of the different parts of the building and we welcome the local community to come and have a look.”

Sunny Landa, director at NG, said: “We always says that landlords who invest in their portfolio will reap the rewards and so it’s pleasing to have concluded a deal to sell this property to a proactive new owner.

“John has some exciting plans for High Pavement and I’m really looking forward to seeing them realised. Sutton’s town centre will be greatly enhanced by this deal and it’s been a pleasure to be involved in the transaction.”
