Aviation firm goes for growth with city centre office move

Imperial Buildings

Aviation technology firm RDC Aviation, which works with British Airways, Cathay Pacific and Ryanair amongst others, has moved into new premises in Nottingham city centre.

The firm makes the move to a space in Imperial Buildings having recently grown its team from 8 to 22 people.

Peter Hind, chief executive at RDC Aviation, said: “Moving to a new office gives us the opportunity to plan for growth and offer a great working environment for our people. We’ve seen a real change in how people view the workspace in recent years, with flexible working being more important. Having an office that reflects a modern, forward-looking business is really important to us.”

Hind believes the company has been lucky to find the new premises given the paucity of quality office space in the city centre – an accessible location he feels will best meet the needs of RDC’s workforce.

He said: “The mass conversion of office space to student accommodation is a major issue in many cities but I think it’s worse in Nottingham because it’s a relatively compact city centre.

“It’s vital that we are located somewhere that is easy to get to so that we appeal to the widest group of workers. This means an easily accessible city centre location where there are great accommodation options, good hotels and plenty to do close by.”

Design and build company Absolute Commercial Interiors delivered the new office design and fit out.

Amy Revell, sales director for Absolute Commercial Interiors, said: “We’re so pleased to be partnering with RDC Aviation on the development of their new office space. We pride ourselves on listening to the needs of our clients to really understand their goals and bring their vision to life, and we can’t wait to provide this brilliant company with an amazing place to work.”
