New jobs created as financial planning firm makes Leicestershire move

An Oxfordshire-based chartered financial planning company has expanded into the East Midlands, creating seven new jobs and promising more to come.

Wills & Trusts, which has operated from Thame for the last 24 years, is set to launch its new office in Ashby de la Zouch today.

David Batchelor, founder and principle of the 50-strong firm, believes the company’s expansion into the region presents “an exciting opportunity for the Wills & Trusts team allowing employees to grow and develop.”

The firm has created seven new positions to accompany the move, including new chief operating officer Stuart Payne, a marketing director, three financial planners, a paraplanner and an administration role.

Batchelor said: “We know there is a huge opportunity for us to make a significant difference to families in the Midlands and that is why we have pinpointed Ashby de la Zouch as our first location for expansion. We want to help families across the UK build and protect legacies for future generations one family at a time.”

The company expects the number of new recruits from the local area to rise to at least 12 in the next 12 months.
