Expanding manufacturer opens £4m global parts centre

A Coalville-based manufacturer has opened a new £4 million global parts centre as it looks to increase its staff headcount by 20 per cent.

CMS Cepcor, which makes components for crushing equipment used in the mining and quarrying industries, has opened the 6,000 sq m centre following an injection of funding from HSBC UK.

The new warehouse, situated next to the firm’s manufacturing facility on Samson Road, Coalville, will allow CMS Cepcor to expand its manufacturing capabilities by releasing 2,500 sq m of space previously used for storage purposes.

The company is now planning to add more staff in the next two years to meet increasing demand for its products.

Matthew Weare, managing director of CMS Cepcor, said: “Following sustained growth in all business areas, we were fast reaching capacity at our manufacturing facility and headquarters. We needed a new site that would enable us to store our products and make way for further expansion of our manufacturing site to keep up with rising demand from our global customers. Thanks to the continued support of HSBC UK and our relationship director, Jack Coley, we’re able to drive forward our expansion plans.”
