Lincolnshire estate planner takes on key role with industry body

Amy Peters

A director at Lincolnshire-based estate planning firm Beneficial Trust & Will Co has been named as the new Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW) regional coordinator for the East Midlands.

Operations director Amy Peters will take up the role at the industry body, which attracts members from a range of areas including private practice and financial services as well as solicitors, barristers and accountants.

She said: “As an established estate planning business operating for over 20 years, we are keen to support the raising of professional standards across the profession and to provide an opportunity for practitioners to come together and share learning opportunities and experiences. Our regional meetings are open to IPW members but also non-members who have a professional interest in the delivery of will writing and estate planning services.”

Consumer protection is central to the work of the IPW, which liaises directly with the Office of Public Guardian, the Legal Services Board and the Chartered Trading Standards Institute to raise and enforce standards across the sector.

Marcos Kallou, IPW governing council member, added: “I am delighted to welcome Amy Peters on board as the IPW’s new regional coordinator for East Midlands. These regional meetings allow IPW members and non-IPW members alike, to get together on a regular basis, to listen to industry updates and to professional, relevant speakers. The meetings are cost effective, local, friendly and a valuable tool for those working in, or associated with, the estate planning profession.”
