Developer adds two after expanding pipeline to over 1.2m sq ft

Jenny Clarke

A Leicestershire-based property firm has expanded its development pipeline to over 1.2 million sq ft for the first time and appointed two new members of staff to bolster its growing team.

Privately-owned industrial and warehouse developer Tungsten Properties, of Hinckley, has reached the milestone after 14 years in business. The firm currently has 14 sites in the pipeline across the UK with a gross value of £145 million.

On the back of the good news, Jenny Clarke and Justin McVeigh have joined the company as development surveyor and associate development director respectively.

Clarke, a qualified chartered surveyor, brings 11 years’ experience to the firm. She has joined from Innes England in Leicester and previously worked for Salloway Property Consultants in Derby and Lambert Smith Hampton across Leicester and Nottingham.

Justin McVeigh

McVeigh has significant experience in the industrial and logistics sector including previous development and agency roles at DB Symmetry and Savills.

Jeff Penman, managing director at Tungsten Properties, said: “We have recruited two strong individuals to join our growing team. Jenny brings with her a solid career having worked agency-side. She will bring all her in-house experience and support our growing development portfolio. Justin has extensive involvement in multi-let estates and large scale logistics parks. He has a strong handle on the market and a solid network base. I wish both Jenny and Justin continued success as part of our Tungsten Properties team.”

The appointments take the growing firm’s team to seven people.
