Center Parcs on verge of £3bn sale or IPO

Center Parcs UK could be on the verge of being sold, according to reports.

Sky News says that the Nottinghamshire company’s Canadian owner, Brookfield Property Partners, is lining up a £3bn sale or stock market listing.

Sky News says that Brookfield is drawing up plans to appoint advisers to conduct a strategic review of the business.

Sky News sources said on today (Tuesday 8 October) that neither Brookfield nor Center Parcs’ boards had made any firm decision about the timing of sale or IPO, with both a sale or flotation expected to take place “well into 2020”.

Center Parcs opened its first UK site in Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire in 1987.

It now runs venues at Elveden Forest in Suffolk, Longleat Forest in Wiltshire, Whinfell Forest in Cumbria and Woburn Forest in Bedfordshire.
