Americans make £50m bid for Rams, says report

Mel Morris

A £50m bid for Derby County has been rejected by Rams owner Mel Morris, according to reports.

The Sun said that the offer is from an American consortium, but that Morris wants at least £60m for the club.

Last week, it was revealed that directors David Williams and John Kirkland had both left their position as directors of the Rams in a move that would pave the way for new investment.

Last month, it was reported that former Liverpool owner George Gillett’s son Foster was looking to buy Derby County.
