Countryside Properties has continued its expansion in the East Midlands by opening a new office in Leicester.

The firm has several new East Midlands housing developments in the pipeline, with the first project, an 160-home scheme, set to commence this month in Newark. The project is valued in excess of £30 million.

Countryside’s new office is located at Grove Business Park in Leicester. It comprises 12,000 sq ft of space and has room for over 80 employees.

Having signed a framework agreement to develop 1,000 homes per annum with the Midland Heart Housing Association, the company has signalled its intention to create a number of new jobs in the region across all levels of the business.

Glyn Mabey, managing director at Countryside Partnerships East Midlands, said: “There is a significant need for new housing in the East Midlands and I am excited about the opportunities that are emerging within the region. Our expansion is not only a testament to the success of our existing partnership business model, but also our nationally recognised reputation as a great employer that allows us to inject significant investment into our people. I look forward to seeing what the future will bring, as we work towards showcasing our reputation as a leading employer, and homebuilder in the area.”
