Former DWP building transformed into sports showroom

RGMM's new showroom

A disused former Department of Work and Pensions building in Nottinghamshire has been acquired by a sports manufacturing and merchandising business.

RGMM has transformed the three storey 17,000 sq ft building in Sutton in Ashfield into a manufacturing space complete with a showroom and coffee shop.

The company owns and manages various sports brands and has a sport and fitness coaching business, RG Active, which boasts over 10,000 clients across the UK.

The new showroom is the only place in Britain the public is able to see ROSE bikes, a high-end German brand, which will sit alongside RGMM’s own brands QSW and Flare.

The firm’s decision to move from smaller premises at Devonshire House was driven by the need for more clothing manufacturing space for its QSW products.

RGMM CEO John Brame said: “Opening the new showroom to the public is a major step in our renovation programme. People can now walk through the door and see what we’re doing inside this huge building. Even if they just want to call in and grab a coffee, everyone is welcome.”
