On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

TrueMSP directors Neil Shaw and Tim Rookes with new recruit Gavin Potter

Castle Donington-based IT company TrueMSP has marked its second anniversary by adding a new recruit.

Gavin Potter has joined as the firm’s new technical lead, bringing its team up to six members of staff.

The company, which boasts over 50 clients, is also expanding its services to provide training seminars and workshops at its new training and conference hub.

The sessions will be run by directors Neil Shaw and Tim Rookes, along with members of the TrueMSP team.

Shaw said: “The IT industry has a notorious reputation for bad customer service but we set up TrueMSP with the intention to change that.

“We truly believe that any IT support starts with great customer service and caring about clients, rather than focusing on a purely technical solution.”

Rookes added: “Neil and I started TrueMSP with an ambitious growth strategy which is being realised. As our clients will testify, we are proof that you can rapidly grow a business while maintaining first-class customer service.

“We are so proud of what we have achieved in the past two years but this is just the beginning.”

Elsewhere, the North West-based fit-out contractor Workspace Design & Build has expanded its Midlands footprint with a new hire.

Account manager Daniel Davis has joined the firm’s Midlands operation from CPS Interiors.

Davis will work across the East and West Midlands.

He said: “I am delighted to join the Workspace team and am looking forward to adding value in the Midlands working alongside my brother Russell. The group has seen incredible growth over the past year with projects spanning across the country and I am really looking forward to getting involved with such a well-established business.”

The appointment follows a number of new client wins for the firm worth over £3 million in total.

Shaun Smith, head of the company’s Midlands office, said: “Since launching the office a few months’ back the team has really hit the ground running and secured some amazing business opportunities. We are working on some exciting projects and it’s brilliant to introduce some new sectors to the group. Daniel brings so much experience and is a well-known name across the industry and in the region previously working with CPS Interiors, so his appointment is really exciting.”
