£37.4m residential scheme gets green light

How the new homes will look

Housebuilder Avant Homes has been given the green light on a new £37.4m development, after planning permission was granted by Nottingham City Council.

The 9.3-acre scheme will be built on the site of a former Siemens factory on Woodyard Lane, and feature 110 houses across a selection of two, three, four and five-bedroom design-led housetypes.

Groundworks on the new development, named Woodyard Park, have started with the marketing suite expected to open in February 2020 and the showhomes following in May. The overall build is estimated to take approximately four years and the first homes are expected to be completed in July 2020.

Avant Homes will also contribute in the region of £600,000 towards targeted recruitment, local education provision and public footpaths.

Avant Homes Midlands managing director, Tim Brickley, said: “Wollaton has become an increasingly sought-after area for a wide range of buyers and following the huge success of our Martin’s Reach development we are very pleased to have secured planning consent for this new development.

“We’re consistently searching for development opportunities across the region and the 110 homes at Woodyard Park will provide a considerable boost to the residential offering across Nottingham, especially for those looking to live so close to the city centre.
