Green light to turn former restaurant into flats
Plans to turn a Nottingham city centre restaurant into nine apartments has been given the go-ahead.
A company called Green4Developments will turn the Dancing Dragon restaurant and its upper floors on 103-105 Derby Road into flats. The company initially had plans to create 15 flats, but this has been downgraded.
The developer says it wants to bring forward a “careful and sympathetic” redevelopment of the 19th Century building.
A planning statement from Green4Architects said: “[The scheme] aims to create a new sustainable neighbourhood with a distinct identity and character, but one that is capable of integrating with the existing.
“This is design for change, a change for better, that will promote healthy lifestyles and create a safe and inclusive place to live.”
