Photocopier group swoops for East Midlands rival

Nottingham-based photocopy supplier RVS group has been acquired by one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of copiers, printers and multi-function printer technology.

Anglotech has purchased RVS for over £3 million in deal supported by Ashby-based fintech lender ThinCats.

The deal – Anglotech’s fourth acquisition in eight months and the second to involve ThinCats – is expected to lead to the creation of new jobs.

The Northamptonshire-based company is led by former professional footballer Brad Piercewright, and its board includes former England rugby union captain and Northampton Saints hooker Dylan Hartley.

Piercewright said: “We are on track to keep growing and to keep expanding into the future. From these solid foundations we are ready to copy our past successes and keep on expanding.”

Ben Kimball, director of business development at ThinCats, added: “Having worked with Brad and Anglotech before, it is great to see our funding at work. Anglotech is performing ahead of budget thanks to strong sales and is an excellent example of a growing regional business. I look forward to working with Brad and Dylan in the future.”

Paddy Sturman at Irwin Mitchell provided legal and advisory support on the deal, while Martin Barron and his team at BTG Advisory provided due diligence.
