On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

Estate agency network Connells Group has bolstered its land and new homes division in the East Midlands with the appointment of a new homes manager.

Aimee Harris takes on the role having previously worked for Spencers estate agency and Miller Homes.

At Connells, Harris will work with developers across Leicestershire and Lincolnshire, covering its offices in Blaby, Oadby, Leicester, Hinckley, Melton and Grantham.

She said: “I have a passion for new builds and have done since selling my first site from Spencers. I am keen to work closely with developers, winning new business and driving the sales through the branches.”

Elsewhere, Assetz Capital has appointed a new Midlands relationship director.

Paul King

Paul King has over 35 years’ experience in the finance and property sector. He has held senior positions at the Birmingham offices of RBS and JLL Debt Advisory and was most recently self-employed.

In his new position at Assetz Capital, King will work with brokers and intermediaries across the Midlands to provide property developers and business owners with commercial mortgages, bridging loans, property investment finance and development finance.

He said: “The Midlands is home to a vast number of businesses and has long been considered as the engine of the UK economy. It is important that lenders like Assetz continue to support the UK regions to ensure that there is a breadth of financial products available that can help bring about growth and boost the country’s economy. With that said, I am delighted to be joining the team in the Midlands and I’m looking forward to meeting with intermediaries and business owners to help them realise their ambitions.”
