NG initiates revamp of city centre property

When NG Chartered Surveyors took over the management of a Nottingham city centre multi-occupied office/retail property from a city rival late last year, it became apparent that large parts of the premises needed a complete overhaul.

With this in mind, NG initiated a programme of refurbishment works to the communal areas of the building at Middle Pavement, as well as a signage upgrade and internal lift car improvements.

The project – which is set to complete shortly – has not been without its challenges.

Jude Weston, associate director at NG, said: “It’s been tricky on various levels; we’ve had to cope with access restrictions, the proximity of the tram line and the challenges of ensuring contractors could get scaffolding on site.

“However, us our expertise we have overcome these challenges and have managed to add value to our client’s property, while at the same time juggling the safety requirements of the building, contractors and visitors and ensuring the tenants are left to peacefully enjoy their areas as best as possible.”

Emma Moore from The Yardstick Agency, the building’s third floor tenant, added: “NG are always responsive to our needs, whenever there is an issue, it is resolved quickly, with minimal fuss, their tradesmen always arrive when they say they will and work hard to ensure issues are resolved without disruption to our business. Jude is always incredibly helpful and supports us with recommendations as we settle into our new office.”

UPC Management Services project managed the job.
