Developer offloads solar portfolio in £5m deal

Property developer Harworth has sold the freehold to its solar portfolio in a deal worth £5m.

The deal includes seven former colliery sites in Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire totalling 251 acres. They have been offloaded to Lightsource BP.

Owen Michaelson, chief executive of Harworth Group, said: “Adopting an income portfolio churn strategy is an essential element of delivering market-leading returns and these deals represent this strategy in practice.”
