Accountancy firm expands restructuring team as profits jump

BDO's Midlands business restructuring team

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has doubled the size of its business restructuring team in the Midlands, with the news coming after the firm saw its profits increase by a quarter to £134 million.

This latest announcement follows a stellar year in which the firm made a record 94 promotions across the region.

The team, which operates out of BDO’s Birmingham and Nottingham offices, has been bolstered by the promotions of Ben Peterson to director and Abdul Malik and Daniel Timms to senior manager, while Erin Breen and Jacob Shaw have joined as assistant managers.

BDO partner Lee Causer said: “Our team has a breadth of experience in working with businesses across a wide variety of clients and sectors throughout the region. Our newly enlarged team demonstrates our commitment to further supporting our clients, and assisting them, wherever possible, to overcome the challenges they are facing.”

The firm is going from strength to strength having also seen its revenue increase to £578 million.
