Leicester-based plumbing and heating supplier Pochin has opened a new site in Derby.

The 157-year old company has taken premises at Eagle Park in a deal brokered by Salloway Property Consultants.

The firm’s new branch is located on the former Draka site which was purchased by Ivygrove in 2014.

Pochin began an intensive expansion programme in 2014 and has seen its turnover double in five years.

Hugo Beresford, surveyor at Salloway Property Consultants, said: “This is a 3,350 square-feet building and we are delighted that Pochin has taken a ten-year lease.

“It is another coup for Eagle Park which has attracted Davis Derby, Greggs, Howden’s, Screwfix, French company Dedienne and EMC Tiles.

“This is one of the most successful commercial property sites in the East Midlands.”

Stephen Salloway, managing director at Salloway Property Consultants, added: “When Draka left with the loss of hundreds of jobs, Ivygrove took the rare risk of building speculatively.

“Eagle Park has been successful because of Ivygrove’s flexibility and its excellent location and I am delighted that we, at Salloway Property Consultants, have been able to play a part in selling and leasing to some high-quality businesses.”
