Nottingham indie bakery moves into new factory

Doughnotts, the Nottingham based indie bakery, has opened a new bakery in the city.

The firm has moved into C2 Linkmel Close, Queens Drive Industrial Estate in the city in a deal brokered by FHP Property Consultants.

The property will be used for a new high specification bakery for the tenant, Doughnotts, who supply handmade luxury doughnuts across Nottingham, Leicester, Derby and Lincoln with further retail units in the pipeline.

Wade Smith, co-founding director of Doughnotts, said: “This year is about creating a better working environment, a bigger facility means we can do that and also futureproofs the company for the years to come. Doughnotts grew so much in 2019 and we want to keep up that pace with a bigger bakery to ensure that.”

Chris Proctor of FHP Property Consultants, said: “Linkmel Close offered a high quality newly refurbished warehouse space which suited the nature of the tenants perfectly.

“Doughnotts have been a pleasure to work with throughout the process and after seeing the business in action, I have no doubt it will have further success and expansion in the years to come.”
