Frasers Group – previously Sports Direct – has closed more Jack Wills stores – including two in the East Midlands.

Jack Wills has announced the immediate closure of a further nine stores, which follows an announcement to close five stores last week. The British brand, which was bought out of administration by Frasers Group in August last, will close stores in Abersock, Aldeburgh, St Andrews, Dartmouth, Harrogate, St Ives, Lincoln, Rushden Lakes and Southwold.

Last week stores in Dublin, Exeter, Cambridge, Bath and Manchester Trafford Centre closed.

A spokesperson said: “The Group has been working closely with landlords since acquiring Jack Wills to keep as many stores open as possible. Now faced by unprecedented uncertainty in the retail environment, further closures are inevitable.”
