Care provider to create 300 East Midlands jobs

Some 300 jobs are to be created by a firm which provides care to older people in their homes.

Home Instead Senior Care, which has 15 offices across the region, says it is creating the roles as the demand for care services spirals.

Home Instead wants to ensure that there are enough caregivers to deal with the increasing level of demand they are experiencing from both new and existing clients.

CEO of Home Instead Senior UK, Martin Jones, said: “The UK is under immense pressure due to COVID-19, and we want to ensure we can continue to commit to caring for our older clients especially following the government’s advice to remain at home and socially distance; which inevitably will leave many elderly people unable to leave their homes or see the people who they may usually day-to-day.”

He added: “We want to harness the community spirit and kindness that is being demonstrated all over the UK right now, as those attributes are key to our work force. There are so many people out there who could help us make a positive difference to older people through relationship-led care. We are urging them to step forward.”
