Almost two-thirds of Midlands businesses have no plans to cut marketing spend

Some 63% of businesses in the East Midlands are looking to maintain or increase their marketing spend over the next six months, according to an exclusive poll carried out by TheBusinessDesk.com.

The survey was carried out during our latest webinar, Growth lessons for uncertain times, when over 100 business owners and leaders were asked for their marketing spend intentions for the coming months.

Here is Hallam’s Jake Third and Susan Hallam, along with Steve Arnold of e-days, speaking at the webinar on the importance of marketing.

During the webinar, which was sponsored by Midlands digital agency Hallam, some 41% said they would be maintaining their marketing budget at its current levels. 18% of companies responding to the survey said they would be increasing their spend slightly, and just over 4% saidthey would “significantly increasing” their budget.

Just under 10% said they would be slightly reducing their budget, just over 19% said they will significantly reduce their marketing and just over 8% of business owners said they had furloughed their marketing staff.
