Nottingham residential developer reopens city sites

Nottingham-based property development company, Hockley Developments, has reopened all four of its construction sites in Nottingham this week.

After risk assessing each development and discussions with Health and Safety and Site Management, the firm says it is confident sites can be re-opened safely, meeting Government Safe Operating Procedures and ensuring all staff and sub-contractors can work safely.

Additional hygiene and cleaning measures and staggered breaks and start times will be implemented across the re-opened sites, and all members of staff will receive a detailed induction on the new policies when returning to site.

Managing director, Alan Forsyth, said: “With clear government guidelines and careful discussions with our management team we are delighted to have all four development sites up and running this week.

We recognise that we have an important responsibility to our employees and sub-contractors, and will continue to monitor the sites and ensure safe operating processes are being followed.

With over 100 properties across the four developments, over 80 of them already sold and with buyers looking to move in during the second half of 2020, it is great to get the construction teams back on the sites operating safely.”
