Logistics firm to expand Derby operation after landing Japanese contract

XPO Logistics has won a contract to distribute products by Shiseido Company throughout the UK from its Derby warehouse.

Shiseido, based in Japan, has been established for 148 years, making beauty and health products.

The firm’s contract with XPO includes business-to-business replenishment of bareMinerals, NARS, Laura Mercier, SHISEIDO, Serge Lutens, Dolce&Gabbana Beauty, Narciso Rodriguez, Issey Miyake, Elie Saab and Clé de Peau Beauté brands, and UK and Ireland e-commerce fulfillment of orders for the NARS, Shiseido and bareMinerals brands.

XPO will manage Shiseido’s logistics at an 80,000 sq ft distribution center in Derby, with plans to expand to 100,000 sq ft over the course of the partnership.
