Beeston to live the Hylyfe as 132-apartment scheme gets thumbs up

How the scheme will look

Plans for the second phase of the redevelopment of Beeston town centre have been given the green light.

Architect Leonard Design has designed a mixed-use scheme, called Hylyfe Beeston Square, which will include 132 apartments with commercial units on the ground floor that could be used for retail, offices, resturants or bars or leisure use.

Monk Estates and William May are the joint developers on the scheme, which is the second phase of the regeneration of Beeston Square.

Early last year, Broxtowe Borough Council secured a deal to bring Arc Cinema to Beeston town centre as part of its plans to create the hub of leisure facilities and new homes.

The eight-screen cinema will create around 30 jobs for the town and is projected to be open later this year.
