intu chief exec quits – reports

intu owns three malls in the East Midlands - including the Victoria Centre in Nottingham

The chief executive of stricken shopping centre owner intu has stepped down, according to reports.

Sky News says that the mall operator’s administrators KPMG told staff on Friday (3 July) that Roberts has left the role that has been his since April 2019.

intu collapsed into administration last Friday, leaving administrators to run its 17 shopping centres, including the part-demolished Broadmarsh mall in Nottingham, which has this week been at the centre of controversy again after a walkway through the building was closed off, shutting out the main walkway between the city centre and railway station.
