New craft brewery coming to Nottingham

A new craft brewery is being set up in Nottingham by the owners of a well-known wedding, dining and bar venue.

Richard Berridge, the co-owner of the Lakeside Nottingham on Mansfield Road, has taken a 5,122 sq ft unit to house his new brewery, which will open later this year.

The Lakeside is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment.

Berridge said: ““These new premises for our brewing operation complements our business model perfectly, we want to offer the community real local food, beer and a safe and enjoyable place to visit. The Lakeside will open at Christmas and will offer alongside your usual favourites its very own range of beers made locally by locals. It’s a very exciting time for us now that we have emerged from lockdown and look forward to seeing our guests very soon.”

Chris Proctor of FHP Property Consultants, who brokered the deal, said: “This letting will complement Richard’s plans at The Lakeside, and I very much look forward to having a pint of his new craft beer soon.

“We are once again in a position where we have a lack of stock available around 5,000 sq ft in the industrial/warehousing market within Nottingham, and I would urge landlords and property owners to get in touch if they do have a property they are looking to sell or let.”
