Hardy seeks talks to buy second golf course

Patshull Park golf course

Alan Hardy, the owner of the Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club, is looking to buy a second course.

Hardy has contacted the liquidators of the Patshull Park Golf Club, in Shropshire, with a view to saving it, it emerged over the weekend.

Patshull Park closed last week, with staff losing their jobs.

In a series of tweets over the weekend, Hardy, who has recently invested heavily in the Nottinghamshire by upgrading access roads and car parking, revealed that he is looking to speak with the liquidators about saving Patshull Park.

Hardy has owned The Nottinghamshire for a decade. In 2018, Hardy told TheBusinessDesk.com of his desire to expand his golfing empire.

During the height of the coronavirus pandemic in the UK in March and April, The Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club offered all 30 of its hotel bedrooms to NHS staff and other keyworkers.
