On the move: the latest East Midlands hires
Leisure equipment and accessories supplier Miriad has appointed Paul Cooper to support the business on its new venture into the marine market.
Cooper has been brought on board tasked with growing Miriad’s potential in the Marine sector and building relationships with boat builders, chandlers and many others in the Marine industry.
He said: “I am excited with this next step in my career, it’s great to be back with Miriad and exploring this new venture with them. My goal is to replicate the model that led to the success of the VW and campervan side of the business.
“Many of the products from the VW and campervan converter market are transferable, so I’m confident we will do well in the Marine industry.”
Richard Toon, commercial director of Miriad Products, said: “It’s an exciting period of growth for Miriad as we launch our new offering to the Marine sector this month. The business is confident that with the help of account manager Paul Cooper it can bring land and sea accessories together.”
Mark Lusher
Engineering consultancy M-EC has appointed Mark Lusher as associate structural engineer.
Managing director of M-EC, Eddie Mewies, said: “Mark’s appointment is perfectly timed as the activity levels across the construction industry are starting to increase and new instructions are improving. We’re pleased to welcome Mark to the team and even more excited to meet him in person, once we reopen our offices over the summer.”
Lusher added: “I’m delighted to be joining M-EC and I’m looking forward to helping develop the team further. This is the first role I’ve accepted without ever having met the team in person but the process has been thorough and I’m confident that M-EC and I are a good fit for each other.”
