Glendine Properties has been given the green light to turn a block of vacant offices in Nottingham city centre into 23 flats.

The new development at the Cavendish Buildings and Premier House on Wheeler Gate will include a range of studios, one-bed and two-bed units designed by Rayner Davies architects.

The apartments will be located within the existing roof void over Cavendish House. The grade II listed buildings were designed by John Howitt and built at the turn of the last century.

The exterior is a characteristic example of Howitt’s work, with red brick and stone dressings and sash windows, all of which will be retained.

Project managers Pulse and engineers BSP will also have a hand in the new development.
