On the move: the latest East Midlands hires

A former interior designer has swapped inside for outside, rising through the ranks at a local housebuilder to become assistant site manager at a new housing development in Deeping St James.
Elaine Mumby started off as a trainee with Linden Homes 18 months ago, after a career first in interior design and then in customer care with a small building company.
She’s now assistant site manager at Springfields, Linden Homes’ forthcoming development in the village.
Mumby said: “I originally studied interior design at Leeds College of Art and Design and from then worked designing bars and interiors. I then moved to work for a small building company where I was office based and worked in customer care.
“I chose to move to Linden Homes to work for a bigger company and also to take on a role that gets me out of the office and onto the site, where I can fix issues that I was hearing about whilst doing my old customer care job myself.
“This job involves a lot of problem solving on a day-to-day basis. Because I have been able to work in a number of positions within this sector, I am able to use my knowledge from my previous jobs to help with any current challenges I may now face.”
The Institute of Directors (IoD) has appointed Lincolnshire Police Assistant Chief Constable Kerrin Wilson as its first policing and criminal justice ambassador for Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland.
Wilson has been assistant chief constable with Lincolnshire Police for more than two years. Prior to this, she headed Cleveland & Durham (Police) Special Operations Unit, the culmination of 27 years’ service across four North East Forces
Her background includes operational uniform, CID and specialist roles. Wilson has also worked in hostage negotiating across the world and is a strong advocate for BAME and women’s aspirations.
She said: “I’m delighted to join the IoD team and look forward to helping directors to tackle and reduce crime and disorder affecting businesses. Around 22 per cent of recorded crime in Lincolnshire affects a business – we want to create a safer environment through regular communication and engagement with the local business community.”
