Commercial finance firm changes name

The Sterling team

A commercial finance brokerage firm has a new name as it marks its 20th year in business.

Sterling Capital Reserve, based in Edwalton, Nottingham, will now be known as Sterling Commercial Finance.

Managing director David Griffiths said: “Twenty years ago, Sterling Capital Reserve commenced as a corporate finance advisory firm assisting businesses with MBO/MBI and acquisitions.

“Gradually, as we began to bring more and more specialists onboard, a commercial finance brokerage evolved within Sterling in order to provide our clients with access to a wide panel of funders.

“As both the advisory and the broking businesses have developed and regulations and operating requirements have evolved differently, we feel it is now time to rebrand the brokerage as Sterling Commercial Finance to better reflect the target market of the brand and to provide it with a separate identity.”

Griffiths added: “There will be no disruption to our services, the timing just seemed right as we reached this milestone. So many things have changed in the business world over the last couple of decades but one theme remains constant and that is good, honest, professional advice, that is accessible – that’s the key.

“Our deal advisory work will continue through Sterling Capital Reserve, with ongoing brokerage services sourced through Sterling Commercial Finance. We look forward to assisting our clients in sourcing funding, whether brokerage or advisory, for many more years to come.”
