Advisers behind digital agency share sale revealed

The advisers behind a share sale at a Nottingham digital agency have been revealed.
Last month (October), managing director Jake Third and strategy Ben Wood took a share in Hallam, joining chief executive Julio Taylor and technical director Jon Martin as majority shareholders in the firm.
Following a management restructure earlier in 2020, founder Susan Hallam and current financial director Mike Hallam intend to retire from the firm at the end of the year, although they will still retain a shareholding.
James Bagley, managing partner at Smith Cooper who led the deal, said: “We’ve worked with Hallam for many years now and have seen the company transition significantly. Hallam prioritise the personal and professional development of their team, providing ample opportunity for staff to succeed and realise their ambition.
“The last few months have been immensely challenging for many businesses, Hallam included, yet they continue to go from strength to strength, having made a conscious transition toward the provision of more strategic and consultancy-based services. As a result, they have partnered with some fantastic new clients recently, which has paved the way for continued success and realisation of the firm’s long-term strategy.
“We look forward to watching the teams continued progression and extend our congratulations to Jake and Ben.”
Duncan Taylor from Nelsons and Martin Hall from Cleggs Solicitors provided legal advice on the transaction.
