Prime Minister self-isolating after meeting with Notts MP
An East Midlands MP has been tested positive for Covid-19 just days after an in-person meeting with the Prime Minister.
Boris Johnson announced yesterday evening (November 15) that he is self-isolating after attending a face-to-face meeting with Ashfield MP Lee Anderson last Thursday.
A spokesperson for the Prime Minister said: “The Prime Minister will follow the rules and is self-isolating. He will carry on working from Downing Street, including on leading the government’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. The PM is well and does not have any symptoms of Covid-19.”
The news came at the end of another torrid week for Boris Johnson who fired aides Dominic Cummings and Lee Cain as part of an attempt to “reset” his Government.
