Recruitment firm invests £1m in new office with pledge to create 100 jobs

A Nottingham-based executive recruitment firm has unveiled a new £1m office and plans to create 100 jobs throughout Europe and the US.

Forsyth Barnes, which arrived in Nottingham just three years ago has expanded from just 350 sq ft of office space to a 5,500 sq ft headquarters on Friar Lane in the city.

The firm says it spent £1m fitting out the new office, which it has dubbed “the coolest in Nottingham. It boasts video theatre rooms for international virtual meetings, Smart switch glass that frosts at the touch of a button and Alexa-enabled coffee machines and projectors. There’s a basketball net, putting green and a fully-stocked bar with a variety of beers, ales and ciders; as well as mini Proseccos for those who can’t finish a whole bottle. Forsyth Barnes has catered for drivers and non-drinkers too, with plenty of J20s, fizzy drinks and Red Bulls.

Forsyth Barnes was named by the Financial Times earlier this year as one of the fastest growing businesses in Europe and now says it is set to create 100 roles for research and recruitment executives all over Europe and US in the sports, tech, fintech and eCommerce markets.

Scott Parsons, managing partner, told TheBusinessDesk.com: “I’m delighted with how the offices are looking. I can honestly say it’s the coolest office I’ve ever worked in, probably the coolest office I’ve ever been in. It’s a £1m-plus commitment to our offices in Nottingham that will provide the home for our continued global growth.”
