Digital transformation for learning and development provider

Penny Strutton

An East Midlands-based leadership and development consultancy has changed the way it is working to move its coaching and training services online.

Think Forward says it has developed a suite of learning modules plus access to Lumina Psychometrics, one-to-one coaching, group discussions and live interactive seminars so that people can learn efficiently from a distance.

Now, with the ongoing Covid-19 restrictions in place, owner Penny Strutton has moved her business online.

She said: “With more people working remotely and the continuing social distancing restrictions, it can be even more challenging to find an in-person development experience to support professional growth. However, as most workforces have transitioned to remote working, the belief that efforts and outputs require in-person or in-office participation have been significantly challenged.

“With the rise and vast usage of communication technology, such as Zoom and Teams, people have learnt that they can operate successfully from a distance. We can efficiently work from a distance; but we can also effectively learn from a distance.

“A central value to us at Think Forward is innovation and that is why, in response to changing ways of working, we’ve enhanced our services to provide a digital development experience that can be accessed anywhere, 24/7. Combining e-learning with the option of digital one-one coaching and development, we have built a platform that can support individual and business growth to suit any budget.”

Based in Nottingham, Think Forward was set up by Penny Strutton in 2011. The firm says it “specialises in people” and has delivered hundreds of consultancy, coaching and training sessions to large and small businesses over the last decade.
