Recruitment firm moves to larger Leicester offices

Recruitment firm Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment has moved into larger office space at Charles Street in Leicester city centre.

The relocation was initially planned for March 2020 but delayed as a result of the outbreak of Covid-19.

Simon Gimson, Thorn Baker Leicester’s branch manager said: “Our new office is perfect for our requirements both now and in the future as the business continues to grow. The increased space facilitates social distancing which is important when signing up new candidates and for the protection for our staff. Our great city centre location means we are easy for people to reach which will further benefit the business.

“Despite reports of job shortages, which is true for some sectors, we have a range of clients who are looking for reliable workers to fill their vacant positions. I would encourage anyone looking for work to get in touch.”

To meet the increased business, Thorn Baker has made a new appointment to its Leicester team. Harry Pickering has joined the firm as labour manager.

He said: “The next few months promise to be extremely busy for me as we support our clients over the busy Christmas period and beyond. I am really looking forward to playing my role in helping the further development of Thorn Baker Industrial through its Leicester office. It’s a great base from which we can emerge strongly positioned for even more success in the post Covid-19 world.”
