The Duchess of Rutland, Emma Manners, is set to let the former site of Belvoir Fruit Farms – and the site could become a new industrial estate, according to one local property professional.

The estate of warehousing is close to Belvoir Castle, her home, and the Engine Yard retail development in its ground, and its units range from 1-7,000 sq ft.

Anthony Barrowcliffe of FHP Property Consultants has been instructed to let the properties.

He said: “This is an excellent opportunity to get industrial space on flexible terms and competitive rents to service the local or East Midlands market. Landlord works are to follow and over time I believe this will become a thriving industrial estate. Not only can we provide lots of different size options, but we can also offer flexible lease terms and can do specific works to the units to appeal to individual requirements.

“The appetite within the Grantham, Newark and A1 region is exceptionally strong and offering refurbishes small to medium sized industrial units ideal for B1, B2 and B8 uses fulfills the shortage of stock within the market and this region.

“I look forward to engaging with interested parties and discussing this with occupiers wanting to benefit from the A1 and A46. I have had great success in this region over the last few months and continue to build FHP’s profile in this area.”
