Record growth for health and safety consultancy
Daventry-based Safety Management is celebrating an increase in turnover and a record client list with a rebrand and new social media campaign.
Bought by ex-HSE inspector Mike Fletcher in 2014, SML offers services to a variety of industry sectors including manufacturing, retail, engineering, logistics and construction.
“Over the past six years we have worked to restructure the business, introducing a more systems-based operation and employing talented consultants with expertise in their own specific fields. Our client list has grown hugely, retail being a new sector for us this year and most recently Biosciences,” said Fletcher.
“With a turnover approaching £1m we felt it was time for a rebrand, to better support what we do and communicate our brand values. On average the business has grown around 20% per year, our aim being to manage and control steady, organic growth. We only take on what we can handle to ensure we provide a consistently high level of service.”
The firm’s mainstay of business is in the manufacturing sector but with the current pandemic, Covid-secure reviews have been a priority for most customers. With the Health and Safety Executive carrying out spot checks to ensure businesses are helping to stem the spread of coronavirus, SML has been actively helping to ensure compliance.
SML work with companies across the UK, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and Europe to ensure safety standards comply with current legislation in all health and safety related matters to safeguard employees, customers and company reputation.
